The Lake of Love

The Spitsbergen island indeed not a symbol of romantic. However, nature chose this biggest island in the Svalbard island to be a very unique and stunning Heart Beat place. A place with a lake that shaped like a heart, it was created because world climate change.

The love lake was estimated emerge resulting from global warming that cause by melted glacier. Several ice blocs were trapped when landslide in this region happens and created a hole measuring 120 feet and 90 feet. The hole afterward filled with rain water and snow melted through to finally became a lake.

This place unusual scenery that was 620 mile from the North Pole was taken by a photographer from France, Bruno Mazodier. Maybe next year this place can be your next destination to celebrate Valentine Big Grinn.
