Why Me?

Happiness keeps you Sweet,
Trials keep you Strong,
Sorrow keeps you Human,
Failure keeps you Humble and Success keeps you Glowing,
But only Faith & Attitude keeps you Going.

Arthur Ashe, the legendary Wimbledon player, was dying of AIDS. He contracted HIV during the blood transfusions he had received during a heart surgery in 1983. From all over the world, he received letters from his fans, one of which conveyed: "Why does GOD have to select you for such a bad disease?"

To this Arthur Ashe replied:

"The world over, 50 million children start playing tennis, 5 million learn to play tennis, 500,000 learn professional tennis, 50,000 come to the circuit, 5000 reach the grand slam, 50 reach Wimbledon, 4 to semi final, and 2 make it to the finals. When I was holding a cup, I never asked GOD 'Why me?’ And today, in pain, I should not be asking GOD 'Why me?''"

The Most Important of Your Body

My mother always asked me, "Which is the most important part of your body?".

Over the years, I always guess with the answer I was think it's right. When I was younger, I thought sound was very important to us as humans, so I replied, "My ears, Mommy." But, it was not the answer.

"No, son. Many people are deaf. Keep searching for the answer and I'll ask you again later."

A few years later, I tried to answer, before she asked me again. Since the first answer, now I'm sure the answer must be right this time. So this time I told. "Mommy, sight is very important for everybody, so it must be our eyes."

He looked at me and said, "You are learning fast, but the answer is wrong because many people who are blind."

Failed again, I continued my quest for knowledge and from year to year mother always asked me a few times and she always answers, "No. But you are getting smarter every year, my son."

Finally last year, my grandfather died. Everybody was hurt. Everybody was crying. Even my father cried. I remember that because that's the second time I saw him cry. My mother looked at me when it was my turn to say good-bye to Grandpa.

She asked me, "Did you found out which part is the most important, dear?"

I was shocked when she asked at a time like this. I always thought this was a game between her and me. She saw confusion look on my face and told me, "This question is important. This would indicate that you have truly live".

For every answer you gave to me in the past, I always told you was wrong and I have told the reason. But, today is the day for you to have a very important lesson. "She looked at me with a motherly face. I saw her eyes filled with tears. She said,"My dear, the most important body is your shoulder."

I asked, "Is it because it holds the head?"

She replied, "No, but because it can be a shoulder to cry on for your friend or your loved ones when they cry. Sometimes in life, everyone needs a shoulder to cry on. I just hope that you have enough love and friends that you will always have a shoulder to cry on when you need it."

Finally, I know.
The most important body part is not to be selfish.
It is sympathetic to other people problem.

People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did.
But people will NEVER forget how you made them feel ....:)

A Table Set For Two [Poem]

Candles flicker softly on a table set for two,
There's no one on the earth tonight except for me and you.

A nice romantic dinner and a bottle of chilled wine,
And we are here together in a moment stopped in time.

A love so few have ever known and this is its birth night,
Alone within our little world, you and I and candlelight.

So soon we will set free the feelings that we want to share.
And I am held here spellbound by your laughter in the air.

Thoughts of love like falling leaves,
Swirling in the autumn breeze,

Flow in our minds and in our eyes,
A tender look and longing sighs,

We touch and as the fire starts,
That we have kindled in our hearts,

We kiss and hear the angels sing,
As heavens gift to me you bring,

No more to live my life alone,
And in your soul I found my home,

At peace within your loving arms,
Captivated by your charms,

And happily I'd die for you,
Here at this table set for two.

Winner vs Loser

The winner is always part of the answer.
The loser is always part of the problem.

The winner is always has a program.
The loser always has a program.

The winner says, "Let me do it for you".
The loser says, "That is not my job".

The winner sees an answer for every problem.
The loser sees a problem for every answer.

The winner says "It may be difficult but it is possible".
The loser says "It may be possible but it's to difficult".

When a winner makes a mistake, he says "I was wrong".
When a loser makes a mistake, he says, "It wasn't my fault".

A winner makes commitments.
A loser makes promises.

Winner have dreams.
Loser have schemes.

Winner say, "I must do something".
Loser say, "Something must be done".

Winners are a part of team.
Losers are a part from team.

Winners see the gain.
Losers see the pain.

Winners believe in win/win.
Losers believe for them to win someone has to lose.

Winners see the potential.
Losers are like thermometers.

Winners choose what they say.
Losers say what they choose.

Winner use hard arguments but soft words.
Losers use soft argument but hard words.

Winner stand firm on values but compromise on values.
Loser stand firm on petty but compromise on values.

Winner follow the philosophy of empathy, "Don't do to others what you would, not what them to do to you".
Looser follow the philosophy, "Do it to others before they do it to you".

Winners make it happens.
Losers let it happens.

So are you a winner or a loser???

Teaching of Life

In one of his Family Conversations, Confucius sets down an interesting dialogue on the subject of learning. Confucius sat down to rest, and his students immediately started asking him questions. On that day, he was in a good mood and so decided to answer.

Someone asked him:
'You are capable of explaining everything you feel. Why don't you go to the Emperor and talk to him?'

'The Emperor himself makes beautiful speeches,' said Confucius, 'but beautiful speeches are merely a question of technique, they do not of themselves contain Virtue.'

'Well, send him your book of poems, then.'

'Those three hundred poems could be summed up in two words: think correctly. That is the secret.'

'What does thinking correctly involve?'

'It's knowing how to use mind and heart, discipline and emotion. When we want something, life will guide us there, but by unexpected paths. We often feel confused because we are surprised by those paths and think we must be going in the wrong direction. That is why I said, allow yourself to be carried away by emotion, but have enough discipline to follow it through.'

'Is that what you do?'

'When I was fifteen, I began to learn.
When I was thirty, I knew what I wanted.
When I was forty, my doubts resurfaced.
When I was fifty, I discovered that Heaven has a plan for me and for each man on the face of the Earth.
When I was sixty, I understood that plan and found the serenity to follow it.
Now that I'm seventy, I can listen to my heart, but without letting it distract me from the path.'

'So what makes you different from other men who have also accepted the will of Heaven?'

'I try to share it with you. And anyone wanting to discuss an ancient truth with a new generation has to use his capacity to teach. That is my one quality, being a good teacher.'

'And what is a good teacher?'

'Someone who questions everything he teaches. Old ideas cannot enslave a man, because they change and take on new forms. So let us use the philosophical riches of the past, but without forgetting the challenges that the present world sets before us.'

'And what is a good student?'

'Someone who listens to what I say, but adapts my teachings to his life and never follows them blindly. Someone who looks not just for employment, but for a job that brings him dignity. Someone who does not seek to be noticed, but to do something notable.'
